This year I am taking part in the A-Z blog challenge once again. And this year, I am focusing on The Nights Series, so that you all get to delve in a little deeper into my thrilling little world.

So – A is for Assassination.

Why did I decide to write action thrillers about a bunch of assassins? Well, many years ago I was trying to delve into the background of a character profile I was drawing up for a completely different book. It was when I was sitting there with a friend trying to brainstorm, that the actual Assassination thread started coming out, and what would cause someone to take on that sort of professional role.

My assassins all have very different pasts, and different skill sets to each other. Some of their drivers are moralistic, another is money. Each of them has very good reasons behind what they do. In Tijuana Nights, Mack (McKenna Carmichael), my main character and initially a reluctant assassin, changes this team of hardened men around her for the better.

Venice Nights is due out soon (when I eventually finish the edits!), and hopefully throughout this series of blog posts you will all see a very different world through my eyes to the one that’s just shown within my books. I love my assassination world, these characters, and I adore writing and torturing them. It’s what makes me happy in my life, and hopefully you’ll all love reading them whenever you get around to it!
