I know that I have been sitting here out in the wings very quietly lately. And you’re probably all wondering what I am up to. Well… when I was finishing up Venice Nights – right around the time I was hitting publish, I was also dreaming up a new story.
A book called Wildest Dreams is now in the making. It’s a tad different from the Nights Series, but it’s one that I am powering through at the moment, and hoping to release in February – if I can! The fun thing about Wildest Dreams is that while it’s still a thriller, it’s also New Adult-ish spliced heavily with Romance.
Now, those of you who know me well, all know that when it comes to writing and reading romance, I am a bit of a literary prude. And that’s okay. I’m okay with this, and I have a seriously amazing editor who helps me bring a little steaminess to the foray in my books.
I’m looking at Wildest Dreams as my little guilty pleasure at the moment. Writing something new, fresh, and hopefully a little addictive. I don’t expect this book to be as long as the Nights Series books, but I do expect it to be action mixed with romance and intrigue.
I’m afraid that’s really all I can tell you right now. But once I get together a bit of a promo package with a cover and an estimated release date – I’ll release out some fun stuff about the plot, characters, locations, and so on.
I honestly can’t wait to finish this book and get something new and fresh out to you all!
And never fear – Paris Nights is scheduled for writing over the New Zealand summer. Eeeeeeeeeeep!!
Bring. It. On!
Wishing you the best of luck on your new projects. Doing NaNoWriMo over here, (Okay, being a Rebel and finishing a book I started years ago) and so far ahead of the curve (or straight graph line). Enjoying the writing. I am recovering from seven weeks of pneumonia, so I get about 4 hours of writing time. It’s all good. Words on paper is the goal and I’m loving the unrestricted, fast-paced writing time.
We are coming into Winter, with massive coastal storms, torrential downpours and winds. Seas at over 20′. Perfect for hunkering down and writing. I spent all Summer on the back porch and got nothing done except a really excellent tan! So now I have to make it up.
Happy Writing, my friend,
Deb Turner
